Start beLow server and runners

On a local installation, starting beLow server and runners is simplified by the use of beLowCTL application.

Before running beLowCTL, please make sure that Docker service is running.

If using Gnome, in the Activities menu, click on beLowCTL.

Alternatively, you may run in a terminal:

belowctl

You will then access live logs, which can be useful for troubleshooting or support request.

Running beLowCTL one way requires the AppIndicator extension to be enabled. It may have different names depending on your UI environment.

On RHEL8, the graphical version of beLowCTL is not available, please prefer the terminal version or run beLowCTL - Headless application instead, and jump right to the next section.

Click on beLowCTL in the start menu.

Alternatively, you may run in a terminal:

belowctl-cli

You will then access live logs, which can be useful for troubleshooting or support request.

When running beLowCTL one way or another, an icon appears in the system tray (top bar on Linux Gnome, bottom right icons on Windows). To start beLow services, click on the icon, and then click on Start in the menu which just appeared.

Running beLow services for the first time can take a few minutes on the first run depending on your internet speed and CPU performance, because Docker images need to be downloaded and extracted.

You may then run the UI by selecting the beLow application in the activities/start menu.

Any problem with running the services or the UI? See the .
